Ferma 100 / Review

Letter of the month May 2021

Farm 100 is a place open in recent months in Dress up, about 15 km from Tirana. Farms or restaurants that offer agrotourism in our country are endless and are being added.

- Kitchen: traditional/ Mediterranean
- Price: ~ 2,000-2,500L/person (not including seasoned meats)
- Suitable for families or large groups.
- Reservation required: PO

The term is very broad and in other countries in the world includes many services, but simply put, agritourism can be thought of as the crossroads of tourism and agriculture, enabling relaxation, entertainment (in some cases petting and feeding the farm animals), as well as some educating visitors to local products. But what do businesses actually offer us? I'm starting with describing my experience:

Parking: provided by the restaurant, with enough space.

Environment: Farm 100 enabled one relaxing green field unobstructed for kilometers, starting from its positioning on the hill. A sweet strip of indoor restaurant was surrounded by glass enabling the enjoyment of the view. Live music was offered on weekends (I thought it would bother me, but there was acceptable volume). The farm was still unfinished in detail, it was clear that some parts were under construction/repair.

Playground: The environment had children's playground (with quality wooden games), positioned in front of the restaurant with a distance of about 30 m (so children must be accompanied).

Restaurant: kitchen it offered no innovation, the menu was standard in most assortments, however the traditional food was cooked correctly. I especially liked them noodles with chicken broth. I would not single out the breast meat, which didn't seem very soft to me. I appreciate the fact that the restaurant offered seasoned meats, but we didn't try them ourselves. The printed menu was not yet enabled.

Service: very professional and fast.

Summary: Ne we didn't see any farm produce, if there is then I suggest to the management presentation of products specially produced on the farm. Assessing the standard, I would also suggest expansion of services such as wine tasting tour etc.
