GuestSo my Tiguan started acting up this week with a slow crank and the infotainment system restarting randomly which I’m pretty sure means the battery is on its way out. I’ve been down this road before with my previous car and I know that modern VWs can be a bit picky about batteries because of all the electronics and the start-stop system. The dealer quoted me something crazy like 1200 AED just for the battery alone, not even including installation, which seems absolutely mental to me. I started looking around for other options and found a few places that specialize in German cars and actually come to you which would be super convenient since I work long hours in DIFC and can’t really take time off to sit at a garage. I came across Battery Zone UAE while searching and they seem to have a good reputation for handling European cars properly. I’m hoping to find a Reliable Volkswagen battery replacement in Dubai that won’t require me to remortgage my house but also won’t cause any electrical issues down the line. Has anyone here gone with an independent place for their VW battery and had a good experience? I’m particularly worried about the battery needing to be coded to the car because I’ve heard that some shops don’t do that and then you end up with all sorts of weird errors. Any recommendations or warnings would be much appreciated.
