I was recently talking with someone who manages an older commercial building, and it raised an interesting question. At what point does it make more sense to upgrade an existing elevator instead of continuing with regular repairs?
I’ve noticed that many building owners eventually consider an elevator modernization service, but I’m curious about what usually drives that decision. Is it mostly because of safety concerns, rising maintenance costs, outdated technology, or improving energy efficiency?
For those who have experience managing residential or commercial properties, what signs told you it was time to modernize rather than keep repairing the same system?
