What can an essay checker actually find?

I was curious about how much an online essay checker could actually catch in a normal college paper, so I ran one of my finished drafts through EssayPay’s tool: https://essaypay.com/writing-tools/essay-checker/ . What I liked was that it wasn’t limited to spelling. The feedback also gave me a better sense of readability and highlighted places where the writing could be improved. A few of the sentences looked completely normal when I first wrote them, but seemed unnecessarily complicated once I reviewed the suggestions. I wouldn’t let a checker rewrite an entire paper for me, but it is useful for finding details that are easy to miss during manual proofreading.
